The Hispanic Family Center is dedicated to empowering Hispanic families to become more integrated in the community and to improve their quality of life by implementing programs of education, health, job training, and referrals to facilitate access to existing community resources.

The Hispanic Family Center began in 1997 by providing disaster relief in the Hispanic community after Hurricane Fran. The Center was permanently established in 1998, by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, to provide services of information, referrals, and case work to Hispanic families in need. As the Hispanic population began to grow quickly in Wake County (and considering the language difficulty and cultural differences of the population) we saw the need to increase and improve our services. Today, the Center has specialized personnel in counseling, case management, immigration, and education, and provides a variety of programs.
